The indigenous Micromax mobiles have created quiet a stir in the market for their innovative technology, superior products and humble pricing. The slim and stylish Micromax X313 is good looking, well equipped cell phone promises good performance with a distinct appeal.

Micromax X313 Design

The candy bar like mobile phone has refreshingly different looks. The slim keys on the keypad are not a very smart choice though but definitely good looking. We like the way the silver border divides the fascia of the phone into two frames and highlights the center round button. The orange markings add to the sporty look. The screen is a disappointment at 1.8 inches. It sure could have been bigger with the Micromax written below the screen eating into a lot of precious real estate for nothing. Below that are the five way navigation keys for easy access to the most features and dedicated music keys to make you shake a leg on the move. Overall the looks are neat but not really well planned.

Micromax X313 Key Features

The Micromax X313 has an average 1.3 MP camera. While the camera can be good for storing and viewing pictures on the camera only, the pictures will be no good if enlarged or printed. The camera is equipped with the CMOS Sensor Photo burst that adds fun to photography. The X313 has a speakerphone to assist you while driving or for hands free calling and voice recorder, essential features for mobile phones of today. The messaging options include SMS and MMS for messaging pictures and videos along with text. However you cannot receive or send emails on this phone.

The music features are pretty impressive. This mobile phone supports most music format files like MP3 / AAC / AAC+ / WAV / AMR allowing you to listen to your favorite songs whenever you want. The internal memory can be expanded with a micro SD card which allows you to store more music in the phone. The music can also be played in an offline mode in the background. The mobile phone helps you stay connected with a Bluetooth and class 10 GPRS connection. The battery life is impressive at 310 hours of standby time and about 4 hours of talk time.

The SMS memory can store up to 500 messages and the phone book memory can store up to 800 contacts as per the company, although we find this description of memory quiet cheeky.
